all the new VW GTI owners get it with their car. its like their little promotional advertisement like a little inner deamon telling them to speed. my friend julie just got one in the mail with her new GTI. its kinda sweet and its real nifty. its a shame GM doesnt do little **** like that... and to be honest thats what makes VW more of a lifestyle thing then GM

I tell ya what, those latest VW commercials with the people in the cars talking casually before they get hit by another car... are real good ones. Nothing pulls the heart strings of mothers around the world like knowing their little, precious teenage driver will be safe if they get hit - and the cars are affordable to boot.
Good move on Vee Dub's part.

EDIT: Of course the better thing to have are attentive drivers with good brakes to avoid the other idiot drivers and not get hit in the first place.

 | Have you priced a VW recently? Have you tried to work on one?
VW is a nice car, but BIG money for what they are. A V6 Passat is in the mid 30s while the 4cyl is in the upper 20's. They are very complicated and overengineered (its German), which adds to the massive weight. VW is nice...just way to expensive to buy, own and maintain.

 | still more solid and comfortable then the current accord and camry and are alot more fun to drive. i would buy one myself but their reliability is crap. my mom has a 99 audi a6 with ~80k miles on it. we bought it used with ~50k on it and in that 30k mile span we put more then $12k in repairs into it not including the repairs covered by warranty which amounted to between 1-2k.
