tearing down my LS1

I finally got the old motor back from the shop and now i was able to rip it apart to see what really happened last august, and to see what parts I can save. I also looked to see if my piston slap issue caused any marks to the cylinder walls ever, it wasnt bad but some light scratches/lines were noticeable. As for why the motor blew. it appears something jammed the #1 piston, most likely it hydrolocked from excess fuel when the injector was stuck wide open. there is damage to the cylinder walls in there which has rusted over so the fuel must have washed the walls clean. Every other cylinder was fine, no rust. I previously thought a peice of the rod broke loose and went flying around, but turns out the rod just snapped in half and when it spun around and the crank turned it was able to smash through the blcok and the pan. There is also a perfect "I" mark on the oil pickup tube where the rod hit that. As for the head, it MAY be ok, there were 2 light marks on the #1 piston where it met the valves so those would need to be checked out. There was considerable carbon build up on some of the pistons. The valvetrain and crank were fine, no marks anywhere. The only damage done was the block, #1 rod, oil pan, pickup tube, front cover, A/c bracket, and steering rack.
