sound proofing a room?
Well Im home sick today, and my sister woke me up with playing of her gay ass underground rap, I have a fever and a sore throat.. and her rap woke me up.. and now its giving me a head ache! I know people are musicians here so Im wondering what they used? I dont want to sound proof my room, cause I hate when I open my door and some ones right out side and I didnt here foot steps and such  But is their any nice looking sound proofing that she could put in her room, after all it is her music..

ever see hustle & flow...that's the cheap & easy way to do it...looks like total shizzat tho...anything that looks decent will cost a bunch of money
you should tell her to shut up and respect your sickness...or you can throw something hard & heavy at her, or you can blast some death metal right back at her

a new stereo is on my list I might call my dad up when hes back from work.
he has a too family house and he rented one of them out to a bunch of freinds and they turned the basement into a recording studio.
and hes an ex dj
so Ill see if I can bum a stereo off of him

If you want to rip apart her walls and put in some accoustic insulation that should do the trick .... regular insulation doubled up works well too but like it said you need to take the sheetrock off or what ever she has and then put it back up.

disposable ear plugs ftw... i learned all about these living with other people. I cant sleep when people type, so if my roommate was writing a paper and i was trying to sleep, i couldnt. at first they seem uncomfortable but you get used to them. my mom uses them cause pop snores too. they work wonders.
