v6 to carb'd 357 ignition wiring problem...

whats up guys, im back in the fbody game after wrecking my blue 91 rs...

i recently acquired a 1990 project car that is near completion, the only problem that is left to fix is why it wont crank with the key in the ignition.

first off.. its a 1990 v6 bird that has a carbed 1970 el camino 350 (bored 40 = 357) with a th350 trans swapped in...

I have a small blue wire on the inner small bolt on the starter, and a fat red running from the (+) batt terminal to the big bolt on the starter...

it wont crank at all with the key... i have no idea where to start on this thing... can anyone help? i know wiring is the most hated by everyone... but any info is much appreciated... thanks guys

-take it easy

Will it crank and start if you jump the starter?

I'm assuming the computer and associated wiring has all been removed (or at least disconnected from everything else)?
