Not a chevy

But I'm trying to make it fast enough to beat one in particular. I'm new to this forum. Just wanted to say hi. I'll be at Island Race way Trying to finally put in a faster pass than a certan Italian. I built a Factory Five Cobra 4 years ago and had the pleasure of putting in several runs against the bowtie club. Dam, thoughts things are fast. It's been keeping me on my toes and constantly trying to squeeze more power out of my fair weather daily comuter. For anyone interested in a blue oval. Here is my ride.

He said Italian not a guido, just because I drive "down da shore" to get to Temps, listening to bon jovi, in my camaro.... well now that I think about it, hummmm, there does seem to be some likeness to a certin sterio type i suppose.

I tell ya what, you can thank the NJ Guidette for the invention of T-tops, now this is my own personal theroy but I believe it to be fact that as far back as the 70's the GM marketing team had the foresight to realize that many of F-body drivers girlfriends hair would not fit into such a low profile car thus they invented T-tops, so that if you wanted to bring your girlfriend out on a date and didnt want to buy a vert to do so, you could meerly remove the passenger side top.... its possible

anyway that cobra is nice, too bad he had to buy NOS to finally beat my Z this year

Although it bolts directly in, the rear end geometry of the Mustang is less than perfect in the Cobra. Weld puts out a set of upper control arms with mounting brackets that go on the rear end. It raises the mounting point up by about 1" and has adjustable links so the pinion angle can be fine-tuned correcting the wheel hop issue inherent with these cars.

As for the engine:
1990 5.0
Rebuilt stock bottom end with the exception of a windage tray.
Stock heads .010 off the deck bronze valve guides and valve job
1.7 roller rockers
155lph fuel pump
24 lb fuel injectors
73mm mass air
65mm throttle body
Roller timing chain
Accel 300 ignition
9mm wires
1 5/8 unequal length shorty headers
Valeo clutch
5.0 shifter
3.55s in the rear
K&N air filter
electric fan

See Ya at the track

imagine that body with the LS7. That's mid to low 10's right there and probably a lot cheaper than an actual Z06. Not to mention, how many other people will have a car like that?

I'm wondering if there's anybody out there that builds these cars for you professionally, based on your specs, and actually provides at least a 5-year, new car warranty.

I can get a fully loaded Cobra with the Ford 351W, all options, and the hardtop for around $47,000. That also includes a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty. I think that's a bargain.
