Total BAD A**
Today in history we had a guess speaker, we are learning about the Vietnam war and one of my classmates close family friend or what ever was a vet. He came in and he talked about his experiences.
3. Purple hearts
and one other metal which I don't remember.
He got shot 5 times, bayoneted and got hit by shrapnel from a trap.
I was just amazed at what he had been through in just 2 years. I cant imagine other vet's stories!

if he's got 3 purple hearts, he probably has a silver star to go with them. just a guess (not guest) as to the other medal (not mettle or metal) he's got.

my father was a decorated nam' vet. he recieved a bronze star for saving 3 guys from a burning bunker, purple heart for getting hit in the chest by schrapnel, and some other ones that i cannot think of off the top of my head. i remember him telling me that they were going to give him a silver star, but they said he didnt get messed up enough in the process of saving those guys.
