Mine's back in pieces pending another try at fixing my T-56 gearbox, at this point I'm down for the rest of July.
That's the bad news. The good news is that this time I'm doing an upgrade, and not just attempting a repair of my chronic 3-2 downshift glitch.
A buddy of mine in Delaware has a recipe for transplanting C5 Vette gearbox internals (bigger mainshaft, nicer synchros and blockers, etc.) into an F-body T56 housing with no hacking. He's agreed to do mine at the end of this month, so I snagged a C5 trans and I'm doing teardown to inspect the donor parts.
