What?
I just had to read through this as I knew this was gunna be a bitch-fest between the LT1 and LS1 kids.
First off, the LT1's engine design is just an enhanced Gen I, so its been around since 1967.
As for the LS1 engine, it makes great power, but its sound is alright. Its not that great, not nearly as great as a Gen 1/2 sound IMO.
As for LT1's falling on thier face at 95mph? Uh, In Koll's LT1 powerd Caprice, it didnt stop pulling till about 115mph. Thats a 4200lb+570lbs of people in an iron headed LT1.

I think you are asking me 2 different questions.
1: Where would I do 95+mph? Garden State Parkway
2: Why would be doing 95+mph? Cause we wanted to

Maybe Nasstyellesswon should show up at the track and demonstrate to everyone how amazing his car is. There will be plenty of us at Atco on the 16th if you wanna flex that things muscles killer.

He should be there with bells on.
Hoods being popped: Check
Car talk: Check
Driving around for no reason: Check
Racing: Check
Sounds like Nasty's place to be.

I'm still laughing at this thread...no wonder why LS1 guys get a rep for being holier than thou. It's pathetic. I wouldn't be bragging about whooping up on cars when said car only traps at 105

im not making excuses...ive put it on the table what my car runs and im not 'ashamed' at what it runs. beating on the car isnt going to prove/gain anything...except for maybe a few extra tenths. i never bragged about whooping up on cars actually...i just said that the lt1 is an inferior motor and the rest of you guys had a **** conniption. ill have the z28 out at the tracks early next year at the start of the season.
iirc actually njtorque you were at the track when i ran it...you and samhain..and im pretty sure both of you guys were running 13.1s that night with a bit more bolt ons than i have.
i never said my ls1 was nasty...you assumed it...its well on the way.
i just defended the fact that i think ls1s sound better than any other small block gm made previously.

......and here comes the two step.
You talk up and down about how uber the LS1 is and how it lasts and runs like new and everything else, but now you claim you won't beat on it? Pick which way you want it man, cause that hole is getting deep and you aren't gonna get out with more hopeless statements and misinformation about the engines discussed.

He won't come to the track because it would be embarrassing if I were to unhook my trailer and beat him with my tow vehicle
