skip shift eliminator problem

well I jsut got my car back up and running and it is throwing a p0803 code i've done some digging and found that my skip shift mod could have taken a crap but I can't find any information on where the eliminator itself goes.
The car came with the mod installed already, I've come across a few possible options I can order a new eliminator or get it tuned out.
so first thing is does any one have one or know of a good write up on how to install these or can tell me where it is located?
Second would I be better off getting it tuned out?

The skip shift plugs into the driver side of the transmission (CAGS). The plug harness should have two wires going to it. The skip shift is basically just a resistor that is plugged into the harness and bypasses the tranny plug. The cheap fix is to just get the resistor and jam it into the plug leads if it needs replaced.

I see from the sounds of it, it is the plug on the drivers side top iirc i think we removed that and didn't put it back so that might be the problem.
What resistance of a fuse would be needed?
and would getting it tuned out be the best more permanent solution?
is it safe to drive as is or would it cause tranny problems?

you can keep it unplugged, you will just get the light on the dash.

Tuning it will be a more permament solution

Its not a fuse, its a resistor

The resistor value is 2.2k ohm 1/2 watt

your getting the car tuned anyway.....so the easy thing to do is have them tune it out

problem was solved a while ago and yeah I've been trying to get a time setup for him to come out.
