That's OK, it's like a full moon right? It'll happen again in a month or so.

That team should be able to carry a .250 SS with a decent glove. God knows 80% of world series teams have. And most have not had an MVP caliber 2nd baseman and big bruisers at the corners.

Jeter is playing the way he should be at his age. Why do you think there's more no hitters and complete games the last couple seasons? Steroid testing. We were so use to seeing apes like McGwire, Bonds, Sosa, etc. that we grew to expect men in their 40s have better stats than they did when they were in their 20s.

Jeter will never be seen as a major player for the Yankees. How he has made it this far in his carer without being traded is hilarious...........

ROFLCOPTER The man is a God. It will be 20+ years till another man of his caliber shows up.

BTW, it's great to see the vets talk about the post-season as "another season" while some of the newer guys are super excited.

Last night was crazy with all the playoff implications. But everyone knows the Yanks threw the game so Boston wouldn't get in!

The Yanks/Detroit game being suspended tonight sucks for the pitching matchup. I know when the Phils/Rays World Series game was suspended and both teams lost their best pitchers it really made a lot of fans mad on both sides. But in that game it was obvious rain was on the way. Tonight, it really popped up fast and wasn't really expected to be this bad. I'm surprised they even played the top of the 2nd the way the rain was coming down. Good thing nobody got injured in those conditions. You play 162 games to get to this point and you don't want to lose anybody because of bad weather but MLB needs to pull their head out of their and stop risking injuries when this happens.

No, that field was unplayable. Baseball is not a mud sport.

Well the phils just failed worse than the yanks considering the hype of their starting staff. In april everyone had the phils beating the red sox in the series and lots of experts picked the yanks to come in 3rd in the east. So I don't think what the yanks accomplished this year was a total failure.

tough seeing howard go down like that, hope it isn't anything serious. looked like an ankle or acl.

They deserved every bit of that loss. Completely and utter choke job. I had a horrible feeling about this series when it started. The Cards are the Giants of last year...an OK team who got hot at the right time. Of course saying that on local boards made me get ripped a new one for not thinking the Phils would sweep.

Hats off to the Cards....and lol@the Phillies for another choke job...this hurts.

IMO the offer the yanks made was too long. Just like arod's and crawford's deal, and werth too. this will force the yanks to come up with a real plan, not overpay to sign a 33 year old guy who went 3-2 in the playoffs last year.

Yup, you were right tony, there sure was nothing to be learned from history! lol. On the record I called how bad a deal crawford was the sox too. And said Jeter would be fine (.297 seems ok by me). But what do I know about baseball? lol

Should I drag up all my posts about the great pitching staffs of the past that did not win anything?

There's still no connection, how can you compare a team from 15+yr ago to the Phillies of this year?

I don't remember the context of the comment you made though, refresh my memory(being serious)
