				Picked up a 95 Talon

Just got a Talon TSi AWD for $600. All it needs is a clutch and some connect the dots with the wiring. I'm pretty excited about this project always wanted a turbo car and I figure this would be a good decently cheap place to start. Anybody got advice, warnings, etc????

See crank walk, walk crank walk.
certain year built blocks had crank walk problems, so check into that ( I'm not sure what year blocks). also make sure the seals on the turbo are good, and no play int he shaft. and might want ot replace timing belt/waterpump if it hasent already.

its a 6 bolt they dont get crank walk that was only early 7 bolt blocks and i just bought the 16g yesterday cause the stock little t25 was shot. When i bought the car there was a new timing belt and tensioner in the trunk so I'm gonna change that.

Well if shes in that kind of shape, maybe replace the valve cover gasket if shes leaking, and if not, finish connecting the dots and enjoy! I do like the look of the gen 2 eclipses and talons.

yea the only thing i wanna do is get a 2gb front bumper like the 98 99 style only problem is the car has some custom color on it that would be a pain in the ass to match

Big 16g turbo, Dejon Tool modified SMIC, Pacesetter header, hard upper and lower intercooler tubes, APEXI SAFC , 550 cc injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Aeromotive FPR, Greddy BOV, hacked airbox with K&N filter, rebuilt head, water pump, radiator, Center Force clutch, OBX short throw shifter and knob
This is what I did to the 91 GSX I owned. Transfer case always made a little noise but it didn't affect performance. That car handled like it was on rails. Word to the wise replace the stock head gasket if you push the boost over 16. I had mine at 18 and boom went the headgasket.

This is what I did to the 91 GSX I owned. Transfer case always made a little noise but it didn't affect performance. That car handled like it was on rails. Word to the wise replace the stock head gasket if you push the boost over 16. I had mine at 18 and boom went the headgasket.
 | Ive seen cars on big 16g's do work. I'm gonna be running 25 lbs on mine. Where did u get the intercooler piping cause I picked mine up but with no piping -_-. I got 750cc injectors with the car and ECM link for cheap.

Believe it or not it was all on Ebay and cheap. Got car for nothing( installed a fence) parts and labor were about 2K and I had a car with 313HP. Silicone couplers with the t clamp bands are a must. Everything else will just weaken and blow off after time.
Got to my Fquick garage and pics of the car are there. Yeah I kinda went a little ricer but I feel it was tastefull and subtle.

Wish I could help you out but I sold the car like 6 years ago and got nothing left. it was a budget build so everything I replaced I sold. FYI popular upgrade for those cars was the 1G BOV which was metal and solid not like the plastic ones on the 2G which leak. Good luck with the build and keep me posted. I sold the Eclipse because I found a 95 T/A for $1700 that needed TLC. I love Firebirds so the DSM had to go.
