I literally pulled the trigger and got this

So for months I've been looking for a long range gun. I found this, its a ruger precision bolt action 2nd gen rifle. It shoots a 6.5 creedmoor round which will travel 1400 yards. Being that it's a bolt action rifle, there are not to many nj compliant laws against it. The only thing I can't have is a flash suppressor. After I got the gun I found the vortex scope and hand grip I wanted. This thing is just awesome.

Gotta tell the njsp to give you guys some training, flash suppressors are perfectly legal on a bolt action
 Nice purchase though, which vortex?

Looks good, I’ve been slowly building my own SPR out of second hand parts, while the Ruger is an awesome rifle for the price, the cost of glass blows me away. There’s plenty of legal breaks you can put on the end of that thing and be good to go!

 | .308 is a short bolt, no? I want to do a Lapua .338 but the barrel I want needs to have the chamber reamed and the threads cut to screw on the bolt carrier

$1 per round is much easier to handle than $2.5

 | Strange, I got it from shooters and I spoke with them about a flash suppressor for it, they informed me that the gun would not be NJ compliant, though any muzzle break wouldn't be a problem

the glass is a Vortex Viper PST 5-25x50
