I need computer help plz!!

When Im on certain websites, for instance aol mail, My IE gets frozen and when I hit ctrl delete it says computer usage 100%, after i exit out of IE i get all theese things saying to submit it, then after i submit the error i click on what the problem Is and it says It may be a virus. A month ago i had to go back to a different point and refresh my computer, when that happened nortan virus scan stopped working, and a thing called "spy subtract" magically apeared onto my computer. What should I do? should I try deleting "spy subtract" or something? Should I get a virus scan or removal thing? if so wich one?

i downloaded firefox a while back after using IE for years without a single issue, 2 days later i got spyware crap all over, i had to wipe everything clean with system restore. I still run IE now and not a single problem. But thats just me. I have Norton antivirus/spyware since then.

spybot is free as long as i've known it and it's been years. spybot & ad-aware together are pretty damn good. norton FTL. them two + firefox = safe. IE to this day still has nasty little bugs.
