98-02 Camaro SS question

Ok so I borrowed my uncles 2000 SS and it has an emblem on the dash above the radio that says Camaro SS, but Alot of the SS's Ive seen on e-bay just say Camaro why are they diffrent??? Are they real SS's???

i believe the "Camaro SS" dash emblem came with the key fob(metal keychains that also say camaro SS) option kit. mine dash says camaro ss.

Yea, the Camaro SS dash plaque was an SLP option
