may be a stupid question but i see that the exhaust ports on my lt1 heads are a D shape. my friend has these long tube headers that he's not using and the ports are circles, well kinda like 0. can i use these or not? i don't think i can i just want to make sure. thanks guys

Nope, those O port headers are standard style SBC headers. My suggestion is to pick up a set of un-coated PaceSetters from Summit. You can get them with a Y-pipe for under $300. Best bang for your buck, and they go in SO easy. or if you have the money get them coated, it doesn't really matter.

I ran standard O style headers on the 94 LT1 in my 68 Camaro with no problems. It's a bit of a mismatch and could cause some potential reversion but it's not a big deal.
