-TBI requires around 14 psi of fuel ... TPI needs around 42 psi. therefore the pump needs swapped. Should be ok with fuel lines .. I think
-Wiring harnesses need swapped (your 87 has 8+1 injectors, as opposed to the TBI's 2 and the sensors are all different)
-Also your 87 TPI uses MAF, while the TBI uses MAP, with is also among other reasons you need to swap the ecms)
-Shouldn't have vats issues when you put the 87 ECM into the 91, but I never experimented with it so I'm not sure)

Yeah im taking the wire from my car and puting in the 91 . Im Switching the motors cause the 87 has a 5.7 and the 91 only has a 5.0....I am switching everything cause the floor bord in the 87 is all rotted out and the 1/4 panel is messed up to . So my brother told me to day I can have his 91 since he dont drive it anymore...

Its not a matter of "it wont work."
its probably been done thousands of times, try searching somewhere like TGO, i wouldnt be suprised if they had a step-by-step instruction manual.
All I'm saying is that in your hands, you are potentially taking 2 running cars and making them both not run to only have an imcomplete project get done half-assed.

Or drop in the 350 from the 87, convert the TBi harness into a TPI, add one 730 ECM and one walboro 255... Wala TPI 350 RS.

Quick reminder - if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything.

The Iroc probably has TPI, right? So a straight swap shouldn't be a problem, just swap out everything from the 87 and remove the pieces from the 91, which includes the ECM (and maybe fuel pump).
Where does the TBI part come in? Are you contemplating TBI instead? If I recall correctly, TBI has 19lb/hr injectors and TPI has 24lb/hr injectors in a stock config. If you want better gas milage (for a daily driver or cruiser) then the TBI setup may be better for you. If you want quick off-the-line response for racing or street work, then the TPI (MAF, not SD) may be better for you.

Almost..
TBI has two injectors at 48lb an hour with 13 or so psi. The 350 TPI has 8 injectors, at 22lbs an hour at 48psi. For off the line TBI and TPI are comparable. TPI can be tuned to have excellent gas milage. My old iroc had a 350 with a Lt1 cam, 1.6rr's, 1094 head gaskests, and the usual exhuast stuff. Was getting 28-30mpg on the highway when it was a 6 speed.
The big reason why I said to use the TBI harness and convert that is because, well the harness is in the car, less work to convert it over than to try to make the 87 split harness work with the 90-2 stuff at the C100 connector and C207. Not only that, he can prolly sell the maf stuff for a few bucks to recoupe the costs of doing the swap. Most of the swap over to SD you can get at the junk yard for under 50 bucks (ECM and MAP) Just finding a prom to work with it is the harder part. ( www.tpiparts.com) I think that is the correct web site.

I have a TPI computer and harness, your going to need to swap the dash too if you don't have a 145 speedo. that would be the easiest thing to do.......PM me and we can discus.

Your easiest option is to take the 91 harness and have it converted to tpi by tpiparts.net . This way everything is plug and play, then swap only your engine over and keap the serp set up from the 91 you dont have to swap the trans. This way you do not need a maf or 9th injector anymore. All you will need is a new map sensor , 730 ecu and a new fuel pump. The swap is not all that bad. This is what I did to my 92.
