ATTN: all dirtbike and quad riders

Got a quick question. I just bought an '01 400ex from the original owner yesterday. The bike came with a title, but i'm not sure how to get it in my name. I did get a letter signed by the owner stating that the quad was sold to me just in case we goofed up on stuff we should have taken care of with the title. Any thoughts on how to make this thing officially mine?
