i have it on my dd but not on my SS and havent gotten pulled over in it yet *knock on wood*

but im bored at work and i was just wondering how you guys feel about it?

(again i searched and found nothing about this so im sorry if its a repost or in the wrong spot im horrible at that apparently)

I follow it but mainly because its not an inconvenience. I think its pretty lame and a waste of money. Worked at volvo for a while and did some new car inspections and it always bothered me drilling self tapping screws into a nice smooth bumper. I think as far as getting pulled over it depends on the cop and if they feel like looking your car over. A missing front tag on a sports car is a good reason to pick on a young guy

its soo ugly if you have the SS grill on the 4th gen... you have this like extended buck toothed lookin attachement on ur car.. and it covers the SS symbol.. i just keep the whole attatchment in the back seat so if i get pulled over for it i can say someone tapped me and it fell off or something along those lines..

and yes i agree it is a good reason to pull a kid over ... im only 20 and ive gotten pulled over/tickets for the oddest things..."failure to keep right".. more like driving while a young puerto rican kid! but he let me go so i cant hate that much

My front plate absorbs the shock of other peoples bumpers, so it shall stay.

I don't have it on the front, it gets me out of other more severe tickets. I'll take the $55 fine over a speeding ticket.

lol this thread comes up like once every few months. it depends on the car. daily drivers get the front tag....nice cars get a special bracket for the license plate so i dont have to drill a hole in the bumper....it is useful in getting a break for a larger ticket though

damn first i repost the "my new honda" now i repost this.. i guess my search skillz arent up to par but i agree with you guys for the most part but i have yet to be "given a break" by getting a lesser ticket that what i was originally pulled over for.. i always get what i "deserve" lol or just get let go all together..

I don't have the front plate on my SS yet, but I'm looking to throw it on just to play it safe. The car's pretty loud and the cops around here are total dicks. I don't have the original grille insert or license plate holder that came with this car and I personally don't like the SLP mount, so if one of you guys would be interested in selling the OEM grille/license plate bracket that'll mount right onto my car, hit me up.

BTW you should be able to pass inspection without a front plate. If a cop is sitting in the parking lot, he can pull you over and ticket you, but it's not one of the things they care about when inspecting the vehicle. I just got my car inspected yesterday in Freehold (knowing it would fail... needed the extension), and the only two things they got me for were rear tire tread (drag radials), and exhaust leak (header).
