HELP need advice !!!!

Need some advice on what I can do about this

ok I’m a black male 20 about 6’5 and drive a red 3 gen firebird
Now with that in mind here’s what happen, my friend called me drink and need to get home I was like ok sure don’t want you to get a DWI or in an accident I drive to Jersey city at around 12:55-110 drop I’m off home he tells me that if I take route 440 it will get me to Hillside fast via 1&9 and 22. So I was like cool I’m driving and notice I mess the turn so I found some bridge next to a jail so I get of there then out of nowhere a group of Hondas fly past I mean the where going so fast to the point my car was shaking then a Kearny cop pulls up behind me and turn on the reds & blues. So I pull over thinking “why he pulling me over when all them Honda speeding like that… then he bangs on the window with the butt of his flash and puts a chip in the glass and tells me to turn the car off now I’m piss I just got new windows all around because someone broke into my car. I give him my papers and license act him what I do wrong he said nothing walked away …..30 minutes he comes back and say you getting 7 tickets in the mail and tell your friend we got them to at this point on flipping out “what the hell did I do” a other cops tells me to shut the hell up… I say no you tell me what I did wrong then they start cursing at me and the one phase that stood out in all this “we don’t want you people around here so get the F*** out. Now I’m out the car “WHAT the F*** that mean… hey I want you names and numbers” as soon as I said that they hoped in the car and took off I called the station and got their names and numbers.

But what can I do my parent told me that it’s my word against theirs and I better hope they have a dash cam which they didn’t so is there any way I can fight this ?

Can't sue city hall. It's not right man but I'm not sure if it would be even worth trying to fight. Your parents are right it's yours vs there's and most likely the judge will side with the cop. Sucks but to Many people complain and try fight there way out of trouble so when someone like you comes around, you end up getting thrown with all the people who have no right to fight. My advice is calm down figure out what the ticket is for and adress that first. May be able to fight that and get away with no ticket. If it makes you feel better talk to a lawyer who has experince in this kind of work. He will be able to tell you if have the grounds to even try and fight it

at the very least, you can make a complaint to the department about the officers.

sorry to say but the most you can do is if you are really getting 7 tickets is go to court and state your case and pleed not guilty to all or all that you believe you weren't guilty of... if they have no proof of any wrong doing then its all on words but if the cops don't show up to court they wont be able to tell their side of the story and it will get thrown out.... a lawyer would help but that costs money and as said you cant sue city hall for lawyer fees... harassment at its best i must say.... were they racists?... who knows with that one comment stated... they might have just meant street racers... thinking you were racing... either way sorry you have to deal with the unfortunality of the corrupted part of the system... hope in the end it works out for you and justice will prevail....

Wow. That sounds like some **** that happened to me and a couple of friends of mine when I was stationed in Jacksonville FL. Maybe they had there camera in there car running while you were pulled over. I would file a complaint with the department and at the very least might just get them ******** investigated!

well, i would plead not guilty, plead your case and make a big deal about the racial comment they made, if it looks like its gonna go south then I would make it a point to let them know that you will be getting a laywer/calling the local papers & news and will be going after the department with a racial case. once the racist thing is in play, most courts/town do not like this kind of problem/publicity and will probably try to make it go away by possibly dismissing the charges. also would look into harrasment/complaints against officers.

Well, 7 tickets is pretty serious so you need to fight that. You might want to contact a lawyer to get a decent idea of what you are up against. I would think that if you keep the racial stuff out of it you might have a better chance of getting the bogus stuff dropped. Once you bring in the racial stuff, expect it to get ugly. If you were not with that other group then you should be able to state your case and get those tickets dropped. Take a deep breath, start slowly and don't overreact. You were in the wrong place at the wrong time but you should be able to fight it since you did nothing wrong.

when that happens you need to tell the officer that you request that their FTO or someone higher up than them come out to the scene to sort it out.



next time turn your car off when your pulled over. the cop probably thought you were gonna gun it when he got to the window, probably the reason you got a maglite to your window. second, dont get an attitude and say ''what the hell did i do.'' its hard but you need to keep your cool. you need to politely say ''im sorry officer but i have no idea why youre pulling me over when i saw a bunch of hondas blah blah blah past me.'' third....take a pic of the crack in your glass and inquire with the township you were pulled over to see if there are any traffic cameras along the way that can concur with your side of the story.

I've heard stories of cops telling people they are going to get a ticket in the mail, but they never show. I don't understand why they would do that. Just give the tickets right then and there. Try to investigate and see if there have actually been any tickets issued. They may have been trying to mess with you

ok well i went to the station today and told the Captain what happen and "we don't want you people around here so get the f*** out here too" as soon as i said that he hoped on the horn officer bah and what ever report to my office. oo man i all most jumped out my chair. there was 10 tickets i was like WTF did i go that must have been on hell of a U-turn
1. street racing
2. reckless driving
3. public endangerment
4. careless driving
5. tinted window -- which i have none
6. illegal U-turn
7.speeding 80+ over the limit i was like WOW that means i was going over 140+ with the posted speed limit is 55 on a stock 1992 v6 wow man what the hell was they smoking if i was going that fast they would have never caught me.
8. failure to maintain
9. failure to follow orders
10. and a other speeding

I looked up at the officers and said where the F*** you get all that form all i did was a U-turn i will honor up to that but what are you two smoking.
then the captain said if he did all this why wasn't he taken in at the scene and what happen to all the others. Officers: well they got a way .. captain: so you give him all the ticket and by this time the captain was going Ape**** they sent me back to the waiting room now i could hear him yelling and screaming form down the hall then he came out slamming doors and ****, and ask me what i want to do he said 3 tickets are in the system but the other have yet to be process because they would mean we would be at you house tomorrow morning to arrest you with all this. i said if you drop the other stuff i will just pled in court, by this time the officers that pulled me over are standing there, so as a smartass i added or i can file that racist comment, there jaws dropped. but i'm not going to do that i understand stress and the job of a police officer and it not getting any easier.. BUT i want an apology, and the insurance that isn't will never happen again. the captain said i will see to it myself so they said sorry and i just had a smile so big on my face my cheeks started to hurt ..

so now i got
1. illegal u-turn -35 dollars
2. failure to follow orders
3. tinted window

and im going to fight 2 and 3 idk about 1 because i did do that.

this was the best day ever for me lol

Column A, Column B. They shouldn't have made the remarks OR given him any of the tickets. BUT in the end he's vindicated with little effort which I'm really glad to see.
