You should be thankful. Had the other one been elected, many of the people on this site would have been upset with his plans for the environment. Amazingly strict emissions would have been placed all over, closing of any ATV parks, or other recreational parks would have come too. So let me think about this for a second...I wouldnt be able to drive my chevelle since Kerry would have pretty much made it impossible to get it insured and registered because it pollutes, I wouldnt be able to go ride quads, dirtbikes, etc cause kerry would have outlawed them too. Im happy. Look at kerrys site for those things and be amazed!

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

"This year, Pres. GWB did something that he did 4 years ago...won an election. For that, he is Time's Person Of The Year."

In all reality, with everything that he had against him, for him to get voted back into office....you gotta hand it to him. Maybe its the country swager, maybe its the "Dont Mess with Texas" attitude... but I guess people belive in the guy.

bush is a yale graduate. not everyone is a great speaker. just because you make some grammatical mistakes doesn't make you stupid.

i voted for bush because i didn't like kerry's foreign policy plan, nor did i like his environmental policies. Mainly, it was the foreign policy issue for me. I didn't think kerry would be strong enough with the middle east.

Yale grad? By the skin of his teeth.
Im sure that he got through on his smarts....

Pres. Bush represents our country... and he does a real crappy job of it. Public speaking skills are horrible, he doesnt know what hes talking about half the time unless its about Texas, terr'ists or terr.
Yes, Kerry doesnt have the policy of of Bush, which to this point is invade a country, overthrow its goverment, and then impose a pro-US goverment at whatever cost, even if it means putting our troops in Hummers with no armor.
A policy that says to other countries that dont want to join in our "fight", to go F themselves.
Yes...you are right.
I didnt want Kerry either, but Bush didnt deserve to be voted back in, nor does he deserve any type of Person of the Year award.
Tell me what he did to deserve this.

wasnt meant to be a bush vs. kerry thread. i just think its rediculous how a person that has done nothing good for this country got named man of the year.

This is a first. I am in NO WAY defending Bush, I voted for Kerry and would do it again. But Time's "Person of the Year" is about the most influential person, whther it is positive or negative, hence Hitler holding the same title. None of us can deny that Bush has for better or worse hugely impacted and changed the face of the world.

what i stated was not for me saying that bush would or would not care for the environment, or kerrys thoughts. What I said was that according to kerrys site he would limit/ban use of recreational vehicles (atv's etc.), remove high emissions causing vehicles from use, etc. That was what I said.

Please tell me how 65+% of the users on this site whose vehicle would not stand a chance at DMV would like not being able to use their car. Ill be damned if after 4 years of work ill let someome come in and say "Nope, No more historic, high emissions vehicles on our roads. You all get to drive fart cans and huffys from now on!"
Besides you let him come in we sit back and relax while the terrorists hit us harder and harder. You put someone in there (whatever the intentions may be) who will actually do something and some innocent civilian lives here can be saved. I am not saying i agree with Bush completely on everything, but id rather have someone in office with a stick up their ass about Iraq then someone who will pull out and let this terrorist crap continue! take out the head hanchos one by one eventually the damage will be great enough to change things.

im not saying i dont believe you, but ive honestly never heard that in Kerry's policy. I highly doubt he would have taken historic cars off the road if he was elected.

SEMA as well as countless other groups would have shut it down before it happend. They do it all the time.

And it didnt matter if my grandmother was elected, there is no way the US can pull out of Iraq now. We dug ourselves way to deep. To think that Kerry or anyone would just close up shop is stupid.

Terrorists are going to hit here no matter what. They hate us, to the true meaning of the word. They dont care who is in office. They will stop at nothing.
There are a lot of kids my age getting killed in Iraq from hit and run teams, and car bombs. They are getting more creative, and are tugging on the heart strings of the US.
Putting Bush in office isnt going to make you any safer. They will do whatever they can to kill us. When are people going to understand that it doesnt matter how many troops we send into a spider hole or mountain tunnel.

personally i am glad bush got re-elected.
kerry's domestic policy seemed to shift depending which group he was speaking to from day to day, and his foreign policy was down right scary to me.
all the attacks that were negatively launched in teh campaign about who did what adn didnt' vote for what became pointless to me when i realized that the ecoonomy is in teh same place it was 4 years ago. not bad considering where it was 9-11-01 i woudl say. anyone else remeber the day that thousands died and literally billions of dollars were lost all over this country?
bush didn't waiver adn didn't freak out. he stood ground for teh country adn started an immediate attack on any domestic financial sources for terror and followed it up with the military movements.
i am not foolish enough to believe that we will be able to bring a perfect democracy to an area of teh world that has not managed to keep a ruler for more than 5years on average, but i do believe that we wuold be much worse off had we not gone on the offensive in the situation. it is a little difficult for them to attack us when we are busy wrecking their ****.
the fact that many nations around the world hate americans is more of a social discussion than a political one, so i am gonna leave that alone for now.

that being said, i do not think that winning an election is enough to make you the person of the year. there are people from all over teh world who have made great strides in teh last year researching disease, fighting poverty and hunger, and helping to bring peace. it would be nice to see some of those peopel brought into the spotlight and recognized with such awards instead of someone who is on the news every night anyway.

later

why dont all the bush haters, go cry me a river and go hug a tree. im very happy he got re elected.. he has had alot to deal with in this country, and you all think running the country is easy, all i hear is whiney and nitpicking of stuff he did wrong and what not, no one concentrates on what he is trying to do.. give the man some respect and if you dont like him being our president, and think you can do a better job, start campaining and run for the next one

lol, you have to be kidding me right? That's the best you can do.
Could you please read back to me the author of that article. I'll save you the time, by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. Do you even know who this guy is? He's what the majority of the world call crazy. He's a huge libral left winger. If you want me to read something with FACTS that haven't been manipulated and twisted then get me an article that has REAL QUOTES from reputable institutions, research, and for our sake don't pick another libral left wing article to prove something to a republican... it only makes us democrats and independants .

As for President Bush winning the award. Oh well, I can't think of any person that was more influencial.
