my second 88 iroc vert. i bought (black w/white stripes) had a trailer hitch mounted to it... it was just bolted to the trunk pan. yes it was only like a 1" reciever but still what kind of people would even think thats safe/smart?.... geez

The hitch for the 4th gen cars bolts to the frame in 3 places on each side so it's definitely safe and it actually helps reduce body flex. My 93 hooked up better with it and it's very low profile so most people didn't even notice it.

that may be, but i can guarantee you they did not have towing in mind when they designed the frame.

very nice car though. wouldnt call it a beater, but you cant beat a 4th gen ss...
