Winter Lighting Ideas

Before winter comes and I park the car in the garage I've been thinking of some projects to do while I'm free. Here are some of my ideas broken down. What do you guys think? This isn't my daily driver anymore & I love going to car shows & I want to keep it separate from the pack.

For the interior I plan on replacing all of the interior bulbs with white LED's.
-White Map Light
-White Trunk Light
-White Gages
-White HVAC
-White Door Lighting

For the exterior of the car I would like to also replace as many bulbs with
LED's.
-I don't have fog lights
-SS Spoiler alread has red LED's
-Brake Lights (Since my tail lights will be tinted)
-Red Rear Side Marker (tinted)
-Yellow Front Side Marker (black clear housing)
-New Head-Light housings with Halogen Conversions.

Now for the main piece that I need some opinions on; when I purchase new headlight housings and with the glass separated I was thinking of making HALO "Angel Eyes" in my head lights.

Currently my cut-out is wired into my parking lights. So when I hit my parking lights it sends power to the cut out. Now if I wire the Halos the same way, they will come on when my car is "Armed". I think this would catch a lot of cool attention and just look awesome in pictures.

Heres some examples (I no longer have this hood)

I personally like the rings on the outside.

Tell me what you guys think, leave me some feed back, or if you have any info regarding these set ups let me know!

LEDs are a great choice - they light up faster, and they are brighter. Make sure you don't cheap out when buying them - get ones that project light in all different directions, so the light will fill the housing.

Also, you will prolly need to make a small mod to keep your blinkers from flashing like crazy when you swap to LEDs. Do 4th gen blinkers speed up when you have a light out? If so, this is because of the lack of resistance. With LEDs, you'll get the same effect. They sell a resistor that you can wire inline with the blinkers, or you can take apart and modify your stock flasher so that it won't "warn" you when a light is out.

As far as headlights go, what housings/bulbs were you planning on getting?

To go along with what justin said:

If you're drive and come up to a crotch rocket that has super-hyper-mega-turbo blinkers. Usually is cause they put led blinkers in and didn't put a in-line resistor in.

im not a halo fan really, but if your going to do it .. do all 4 IMO

After discussing some options with Justin what I think I'm going to do is a Sylvania 9003-6 Head Light Bulb in a set of Sylvania housings that I will crack out the old bulbs from. Then with my older pair of head lights I'm going to try the HALO's.

I think but I'm not sure the LED Replacement bulbs I'm looking at are just direct replacements.

That's because of the lack of resistance in LED compared to regular bulbs....

exactly, you have to cut slices close together along the tube so the light escapes and gives the halo effect
