Holly Fuel Pump

I'll be installing a Holly pump (6.5-8 gpm)this weekend. Should I remove the filter in the carb (Q-jet) and install one in line after the pump?

The standard q-jet filter will work just fine. Keep it changed regularly they are cheap enough.
