Anyone Going Back To Indy?
I dont know who is or if anyone knows about it, but there is a big event coming up in Indy Sept 19th to the 21st.
http://indycamaro.com/Indy08/showindex.htm
I plan on going out there to see the 5th gen in person as well as some other friends from around the internets.
Anyone plan on going? There will be large crews of different states going, and I wanted to know if anyone was down to travel out there?

i had planned on going, even thought about reserving a hotel/motel room for the week, but personal things have gotten in the way. at this point i'd have to play it by ear, and how would i do that without a place to sleep... ?
so, the answer is yes. i'd have to work out the details, though.

My in-laws live on the north side of Indy. I'd have free room and board.
Sadly, I'm not likely to make it out there at that time.

As much as I want to, I can't. Between work, a wedding that weekend, and lack of extra cash it's just not gonna happen.

Well, here I am at Indy. Camera doesnt work all of a sudden, but Blair brough hers!
There is ONE other car from Jersey, but dont know if he is a member here or not. Couldnt find him as there are about 50 or so LS1 fbodies in the parking lot. 2 LT1 Camaros and 2 Third gens.
Its a convertable, "465hp" on the SS scoop. It seems the majority of the LS1 cars are SS's.
I wish i got my car to Josh's...damn two jobs.

Said the man who didn't even know about the Camaro Nationals in the GM Nats at Carlisle, the show only 3 hours away that had over 900 Camaros the previous year, and this year rolled out the 5th gen and we drank beers with your pal SS to boot. And maybe 8-10 NJFBOA members....

Meh....did you get to drive a 09 Corvette around the Brickyard?
Neg.
Brickyard FTMFW.
I also sat in the IVER (black and white car) Camaro and Im in love. Tomorrow they are going to show us some "new" stuff....
I asked if it starts with a Z and ends in an 28, I got no response.
BTW, SLP will be making a "Firehawk" package for the G8. They are developing a supercharger package as well as a performance package for the V6 cars. Its presumed that the same parts will be available for Camaro.
I also got to talked to John Fitspatric, head of Camaro's Marketing program and we chatted about what will see as far as marketing. Very cool and they seem to be on the ball. Lets hope they can nail it.

What is up with all the goofy radios GM is using now? All the nice new touches combine with the throwback image and somehow the radio looks like it was pulled from a failed space ship project.
Car looks great, would still like to see the SS badge in the grill be the center emblem like the old car had, not that tiny offset thing hiding in the grill.

Cool. But does everyone who walks in that place get that? Or only GM nutswingers?
Dahs/gauges look awful on those cars. I like the rest.
