Yes, the extra 5-10 hp at the top end is very useful on the street.

FYI the Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap gets better numbers than a Victor Jr all the way to 6500 RPM.

The real LT-1 was a gen I....those wanna-bes in the 4th gens are just gen 1s with bad ignitions...

LT1 has reverse cooling, AND a sweet opti. Thats not a gen 1 at all..... Oh, and a cam driven waterpump! Another amazing design!
