is this the same tranny?
i was wondering if the tranny in my s10 is the same as the one in my camaro. the one in the s10 is a 4l60 and the one in the camaro is a 4l60e. Does the "e" make a hug difference in the type of tranny or is it just a code reference and both are the same?

The E is a big difference. E means its all electronically controlled. The non E 4L60 is equal to a 700R4.
Meaning? The TV cable attached to the throttle bracket controls the line pressure, shift points, and part throttle downshifts.

If the S10 is an '01 that should be a 4L60E as well. GM converted the whole line over to the E models in the 94 and 95 model years as far as I know.
There would still be the question of the bolt pattern depth of the bell housing. The designation may be the same, but the application can still be different. There have been 3 or 4 different ways to bolt up the 700R4/4L60/4L60E over the years.

350 for everything, and ill throw in the B&M trans kit I never put in it. its got a brand ( and I mean like less then 10 miles on it brand) spanking new filter in it, and B&M synthetic fluid in it.

My old 96 SS had a 4l60E from a 93-94 Astrovan. The bellhousing flange area is slightly different as the Astrovan trans had some extra material the F-body didn't need. I think you should be able to bolt it up. The only difference might be the lower inspection plate might not fit but you can find them used if you still want one.
