remote start
just wondering if anyone has remote start on their f bodies? or DD's for that matter..
pros/cons? was thinking about maybe getting one...

I have one on the G8. love it. I don't know if there's any downside to it....except wasting gas.

I'll install a new Viper in your car with remote start,keyless entry, alarm, and trunk pop for $275 as long as it's an automatic

I had one on my first firebird. It had a loudmouth exhaust on it and I could start it a distance away that I could scare people walking by. It only happened once by accident but it was a perk.

the malibu has it..i dislike my mom because she gets to stay in the warm house and i have to go outside to start my jeep on cold days.

Make shure that you install it your self or get a really good installer. My moms solara (a yota I know big POS) has an aftermarket one and now the alarm goes off whenever it wants

any specific brands you guys can point me to (or away from)? which ones are solid, work well, no bugs...

warms the car in winter (heater on full before exiting the vehicle) and cools down the car in summer (AC on full before exiting the vehicle). that's all we use it for.

its great if you have kids. my ion has remote start and in the winter its awesome. no longer do i have to hear my son whine that he's cold.
