PowerSlot Rotors - Any Vendors?
I need a pair of PowerSlot rotors for an '89-'92 F-body with the 1LE (12") brake package. Are any of our sponsors able to get them? Please PM me if you can!

Are you stuck on powerslot rotors? I have a contact that can get crossdrilled/sloted rotors at great prices. Hes not a vendor though.

crossdrilled = cracking & just for show
I am testing a set on a 74 T/A currently to verify what others have said and what I have personally seen (even twin turbo porsches).
I'd stay away from them and stick with solids or slotted only.

Off topic.
I was told that porsche rotors are not drilled. They are cast that way.

Yeah, it takes more than 157 miles to do it.

that is correct, but I have seen them crack during hard track use. For a street car that will not see extreme use, that will be fine.

Are the drilled rotors really hard on pads? I've been looking online at RockAuto, Wagner sells a performance drilled/slotted 1LE rotor that's only about ~$70 each - PowerSlots are around $110 each at TireRack. My Monte is a street car, but it does get abused "occasionally." I wouldn't mind saving $100 as long as they won't kill the pads or crack if I beat on the car.
Seems like a few of you haven't had issues with your drilled rotors, so that's a good sign. Which way would you go?

Thanks TaKid, but I just checked their site and they only list for 4th-gens. My Monte has a B-body spindle up front with the '89-'92 F-body 1LE 12" rotor. It's the budget-friendly way to get bigger brakes on the front of 2nd-gens too, as I'm sure you know.

tracking drilled rotors is like banging whores without a bag. you might be fine for years, but is that a chance you want to take.

Agreed, but my car is purely a street car. I barely have enough free time to drive it to a cruise night, let alone run it on a track. I just need to get it back together with good brakes, and I'm on a tight budget.
