TB / Kickdown Issue

I'm running a 58mm Holley TB on my 93 Camaro. I'm having a problem where if i go WOT (KOEO), with my kickdown cable hooked up i can not reach WOT unless I adjust the kickdown cable further out. The problem, is that if i adjust the kickdown further out, my vehicle shifting is terrible and it feels like it wont shift gears, or it holds a gear. If i adjust the kickdown cable further in, so the car drives and shifts as it should, then there is too much tension on the kcikdown cable and the cable doesnt allow the throttle to open to WOT.

Anyone?

Thanks,
Gio

Is the TB 93 specific? If it's for a 94+ you might need to change the throttle cable.

my throttle cable is fine....

Not entirely sure about 93s.. but you have the kick down cable on the right hookup right? Not the cruise control hook up...

Call Holley and ask. A misadjusted throttle valve cable (it is not a kick down) will burn up a 4L60 pretty quick - it helps to control line pressure. Unless you're running a TH350 or something, if so nevermind.

Edit: I just checked you profile. 1993 Chevrolet Camaro V8 6.2L - a stroked LT1?

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

yes, a stroked LT1.....

it is definatly not hooked up to the cruise control tab....that tab is even further away anyway....

and yes i noticed right away, with the 'kick down' cable misadjusted how badly the trans feels like it is burning up every clutch and band ....

i will see what holley has to say and check that link...
