October Project Car of the Month Submissions
Anyone can post one picture of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.
Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.
If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.
At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.
All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).
If you have submitted a car in the past, but were not selected as a winner, feel free to submit another pic. You can continue to enter each month until you win.
Please limit this thread to posts submitting pictures only. Comments and other chit-chat will be removed.

Purchased this car back in 2005 and been constantly modding it ever since. As you can see in the picture. Currently has Pacer setter LT headers, hooker cat back and a LT4 hot Cam. Run a best of 13.1 @108 MPH

Scott A-
This is my 99 Z28. It is currently in a state of extreme de-modding and weight reduction. Prior to this de-modding effort, it was a basically stock and clean LS1/T56 car with a magnaflow cat back. At the time this pic was taken it had approximately 80,000 miles and the interior was grey cloth, very clean. AC, ABS, TCS, PS, PB, PL, t-tops, 3.42 posi.
I do not sit in the car or make any vroom noises. I do push the LS1-doorstop around from time to time.
(For those keeping score, I still own what is left of this car, title and all. The best 4th gen is an extreme de-modded 4th gen. Huzzah!)

This is my 1987 Camaro Sport Coupe. I bought it back in June 2003 and it has been a quite a project. I've had a few different engines and transmissions in it, as well as 2 different rears. Went through a complete interior swap as well. Currently the 400 sbc is coming out - still don't know what engine will take it's place.

It consists of a fresh bottom end with low miles and a custom ground 234/236 .058 lift 110 LSA comp cams camshaft, Ported and Polished 243 heads with a 5 angle valve job and duel titanium patriot gold valvesprings with seat retainers locks, and stem seals, trickflow 7.400 hardened pushrods, Ported Ls6 intake; ls7 clutch ,pressure plate, and a Ls2 flywheel; 42# ford green top injectors, slp longtube headers and ORY ,hooker cat back areo chamber with e-cutout, tubular lower control arms and adjustable panhard bar.
For the time being it has a built 10 bolt rear with eaton auberngear posi, motive 4:10 gears and girdle.

This is the most reliable F-Body in JSFBOA, haha. Its an A4 with bolt ons: lid, filter, 85mm MAF, 85mm bellow, PP TB, LS6 intake, chromoly pushrods, LS7 lifters, MSD wires, NGK's, ASP U/D pulley, Mezeire electric water pump, Longtubes, ORY, Hooker Aerochamber, !Air/Egr/A/C, Red top in the trunk, STB, SFC's, LCA's & Relo Brackets, TA rear girdle, ADJ PHB, Spohn chassis TA, KYB ADJ shocks, poly mounts, slotted rotors, Hawk HP+ pads, 17x9.5/17x11's wrapped in ET streets, and a good bit of appearance mods...The cam/stall/fuel upgrades are sitting in my room waiting for me to find time to install . All work has been done by myself with the help of great friends, right down to the stripes.
Oh yeah, and my b-day is in October, so pick it!

2001 Camaro SS
I purchased this car in late April of 2009 with a lid, LM1 and all the basic suspension add-on's. Less than 4 weeks later I cracked the SPEC pressure plate in half on a spirited run down the parkway. 2 months later I cracked the carrier in half. I replaced these in the street with an LS7 clutch kit and 373's with a locker. I swapped the stock wheels for c5 z06's since...you know...the wheels were off the ground anyway. Much in the style of my last car, I'm stock piling about half of my room with parts I haven't had time to install yet like a BBK 80mm TB, OBX Headers and ORY, 160* tstat, salad shooters as drag wheels, magnaflow catback and a whole slew of other parts. Despite my lack of time to work on the car and that I broke it twice in the 4 months I've owned it, I still love the car and smile every time I start it

2000 pontiac trans am
What you are looking at is at the scene when a pickup backed into my car while it was parked, as you can see no one was parked around me so he could have chose to park anywhere. Well estimate was for $2,300 got an insurance check for that and costed $1,000 to repair and repaint it. Car has since then been fixed. cant even tell body work was done.

Its my '79 z28. I swapped in a LT1 and 700r4, with the crane 227 cam and forged pistons, 10.8:1 compression, all the free mods, and a tune. Its got 4.10 gears and runs pretty damn good.

1986 Camaro Iroc-z
My 1986 iroc-z was on a path to the bone yard then i found it. Body is straight and rust free and the best part it my friend who owned the car just gave it to me (with no drivetrain tho). This pic is the new 305 going in last year. since then i have updated it with TPI, new cam and heads. I have owned this car for 4 years and has come a long way; next year it will see the paint shop.

my 1988 camaro iroc z
my name is mike, i drive a 1988 Camaro Iroc z. I have owned it not that long but have done tons of work to her since. The car was bought as spur of the moment as hey i got a new job how about another toy and so began the project car. I have already bought a motor to put in. Car comes stock with the l98 700r4 trans which that motor while be pulled and a LT1 with some mods will be installed. I got this car in sense to have a father son project with my father since he used to be into this stuff years ago and my other family members never got into this hobby. All of my other friends drive muscle cars so why not me right. I have rewired a mess of wires that previous owner hacked for an alarm system. cleaned a lot under hood and u

Hi my names Rich and this is my Broken 95 Trans Am M6. I bought the car last July with a blown head gasket. I Saw this baby as a diamond in the rough. I completely Overhauled the Top end. Needless to say when i was finished I took her out , Drove her for a hour and then the oil pump failed while i was driving and shredded the bottom end. Yes in the span of 3 months of owning this car I only drove her for a Hour. And now the vicious cycle returns. Build it, Race it, Break it Repeat !
As of right now the mods i have for the car are. Lt4 heads , Edelbrock cam , Ported lt4 intake manifold , bbk 52 mm throttle body , bbk headers with full borla exhaust , K&N CAI , 4.11 gears in the rear , spec 3 clutch 12 lb flywheel , and other little odds and ends stuff.

My name is Joe and this is my 1992 Camaro RS. This car is a street driven pump gas car. I have owned this car for 10 years and it has been in my family for a total of 16 yrs. This car was totally stock when I bought it. She has a 355 cu in Dart block topped off with Brodix heads with a solid roller cam. To force air into the motor I chose a procharger D1SC with approx 11psi of boost. Currently this combination is making 600 RWHP on a MILD tune. This car is driven regulary and cruised alot to enjoy it. This winter more boost and 120 lb/hr injectors will be installed to bring the horsepower to approx 700 rwhp.
