any ideas
im thinking of a few ways of what to do with my 96 T/A ws6.
1- i was thinking of selling it to buy a stick 02 camaro or t/A
2- i can do a trans swap to stick which i hear can be pretty pricey
3- put an ls1 in it
4- i can keep it and add to it whatever i want.
any ideas? or suggestions?

Keep it as is, or take a hit on selling price.
The other options will snow ball so fast.

After seeing your car yesterday I definitely dont think you should put a 6 speed it in. That car is sooo clean it would be ashame to try to make it something that it isnt.
1. It sounds like this is what you are looking for anyway. I say find an LS car with lower miles and a 6 speed. If you look at your list there is two things on it that point to the fact that you don't want an auto or a LT1. So I say go find a standard LS1 and enjoy YOUR car.
2. It would probably be more than its worth to swap it to 6 speed. Not more than the car is worth I mean more than the benefit is worth. 6 speeds are fun, agreed but a stalled auto can be just as fun to drive.
3. Holy huge project Batman! Way more than its worth IMO unless you're in need of an engine already and have all the provisions already set aside (ie. donor car) Lsx swaps are a ton of fun and such but you can make your LT1 just as fun with the right mods.
4. I think this is your best bet. However, it doesnt sound like you really want an auto LT1 car, so I guess I'll have to buy it haha.
All honestly your car is gorgeous. It is in amazing condition for the age and still has relatively low miles for the year. I would have a hard time doing almost anything to that car, but thats just me. Its hard to find a car in that great of shape these days, especially ones that havent been washed with Brillo pads and such. I couldnt stop talking about your car haha. I would do intake, headers, exhaust, a stall and maybe a cam and call it a high 12 second car.

yeah if you sell it youre gonna take a hit on the for sale price for sure. i see that youre asking 9 grand for it...and no offense to you or your car, i saw it yesterday and it was nice, but lt1 cars just dont pull that type of cash nowadays. especially when the ls cars are hard to sell at that price now. id say a more realistic asking price would be 5 grand.

I saw your car yesterday. It is absolutely beautiful. Don't sell it. Just enjoy it and keep it looking clean

Yes I was with my father as well. Like they are saying keep the car and enjoy it. Its amazing what you can do to a car to make it what you want it to be.

If the car is clean like everyone says, maybe do a full exhaust and some other minor bolt-ons to make it more fun. If you are dead set on having a M6 car, then sell this one and get something else.

Enjoy the car the way it is right now and start saving up for what you really want. Don't spend any money on it unless you really need to or plan on keeping it longer than expected.

I have to agree with the majority here! Your car is to clean to change it over. Maybe do bolt on mods for fun, while saving for the other car you want for play!!!
