4th Gen Rim Backspacing?

I decided to finally spend some money I've been saving for the car. I'm in need of a new set of tires and I can't find anything for a 14" front and 15" rear rim that is worth buying.

I am kind of liking the look of the black Cragar Soft 8's. I'm interested in a 17" rim but the only back spacing in my wheel pattern is 5". The rim is 17x9, is that too much/too little back spacing? I don't know much about wheels.

Really digging what they would look like based on my horrible Microsoft Paint attempt... would get a chubby if the windows were tinted with those wheels.

It will look like a ass backward redneck third gen wannabe.

At the very least, get the correct BS on a set of summit draglite knock offs.

IMO they look ok on 4th gens. But they really offer you nothing in return, they are steel and heavy and dont look good enough.... also IMHO

So therefore you jump off the ship and run ugly ass third gen wheels?

There are tons of options for 4th gens.

How ground down are your front brakes to run those 14's?

Must handle like real dick...

I don't think they are ground down at all. I bought the car with those rims, I know the back tires are extremely tall. I gotta yank out the air shocks once I change the wheels/tires.

They are 195/70/R14s up front. I know everybody will rip me apart for saying I like the rims but I don't like them being so small. Makes finding good tires next to impossible. And the car does handle like total trash. Any throttle at all around a turn and it goes sideways.

Google images/ls1tech are your friends. Plenty of shots of cars with wheels on them.
