Not that we can tell from the pics, but just based on the pics I'd expect this car to be worth more then the car Ron is selling. This one looks cleaner and is unmodded and will likely pass inspection. The killer is the mileage though. Put it this way if i were looking for a car for my kid i'd look at the red one first. I'm not sure Ron can get what he is asking either, its a less desirable 98, wont pass inspection and the hood hurts too. I sense this red one might be a better car.
If I were Paul I'd part it though. stick to the plan.

The Formy is 100% stock and unmolested. It also passed inspection and is valid until 2016.
I paid 2200 for the car. I figured that's what an ls1 block, ls6 manifold, engine accessories, harness and pcm would cost me anyway.
I'm gonna part it and use parts/profits for my GTA. I'd rather have my GTA done with an LS1 in it instead of yet another car which I'll want to dump money into as well.

Wow, I'd have scooped it for that price too! I never trip on deals like that

Very nice.
In my opinion, a ws6 or an ss will pull the most dollar aside from the extra special editions that have a following.

yes if all else is equal. But a clean formula, which isn't a base firebird, is likely better than a problematic SS

Well, I confirmed that it is NOT the last Firebird Formula ever built, Haha.
So now I have a clear conscience to cut it up!

It's a shame to see these cars cut up for parts. Soon you won't be able to buy a whole car. With that said does the wing come off the formula or is it part of the hatch. I'd might be interested. LOL

the formulas and base firebirds have the spoiler which is part of the molded hatch. Only the TA high spoiler is removable

I,m curious to see what a firebird hatch weighs vs TA hatch and wing. If you,re parting it out anyway do you have a way to weighing it?

Ive had a few hatches and compared just by moving them around. It is not a noticeable difference, probably less than 5 lbs only.
I made a lightweight camaro hatch a few years ago by using lexan/speedglass to replace the heavy glass and then I gutted the inner structure of the hatch itself. I used pins under the SS spoiler to hold it down. Came out great and looked nice. Even in a heavy downpour, it did not leak one bit.
