Myself and the guys at the garage didn't feel anything. We all got texts saying their was an earthquake and thought we were being f*cked with. I was eating a late lunch... down the road people were saying it was shaking the floor.

The truck i was working on started rocking, I thought at first it was the misfire but then realized it was off. Second one I have known I was in. I was worried it hit out in the ocean and we were all going to get real wet.
Props to the cell towers not keeping up with call service
Oh and shame on bigpal for not knowing exactly what was going on as it was going on.

that was crazy, i felt on fort dix, sitting at a table outside have a smoke with 4 other guys and im like why the hell am i shaking so i look to see if anyone was shaking my chair and the person that i thought it was was doing the same thing lol, and then i heard the racks on the rack truck i had yesterday clanking back and forth, it was a little scary for a minute, but a cool experience, the worst part was no or slow cell service for about 20 minutes

Yeah, I was in a hot tub when my parents and my brother started to freak out on the 2nd floor porch at this beach house in LBI. I said "nope, just relaxing in the water...what happened?"
It wasn't till about 45 mins later that I picked up my phone and saw the crazyness on facebook.
It was felt all the way in Detroit too, got texts from people asking if I was ok? I took picture of said hot tub, reported an all clear.

I was making lunch and noticed some dishes on top of the fridge moving a little, went out to the living room and the TV was swaying back & forth...because they were ripping up the asphalt about 2 blocks from my house I thought maybe that thing came through the neighborhood or something...even joking said to my daughter "it was an earthquake" when she asked me "WTH was that?"
Wasn't until 20 mins later when my wife walked through the door asking if we "felt the earthquake" that I even knew thats what it was lol

I thought it was a construction truck coming down the road until I noticed the house was swaying a good 4-6". I was sitting on the deck outside and we got some serious movement on LBI. I can definitely say that the little old lady that owns the house won't want to ride out a hurricane in that place, it might not be standing next week!
