This nightmare has been in the works for years. You really cant fix blame on one party.thats why im blameing the politicians that have been there TOO LONG!! Its ALL their faults, the dems and republicans, the career politicians and if we dont vote them out you can expect the same **** year after year.

Exactly. The only way it's ever going to change is if they're all voted out, but it's never going to happen. The majority of people in this state are just stupid. Sure everyone is all pissed off now, but come election time it's not going to matter. The incumbants will just start making "donations" and empty campaign promises and the idiots we're surrounded by will just fall for it as usual. It happened in the last campaign and it'll happen again. Corzine "loaned" his ex GF Carla Katz (who happens to be leader of one of the largest state workers unions) $470,000 to buy out her ex-husband's portion of the house they owned. Then by "coincidence" he forgave the loan during the election year. Didn't anyone see anything wrong with that? Apparently not. The schmucks in office now will never make the cuts that are needed because there are far too many special interest goups on their backs and in their pockets. They need them too much during election time. It's just a viscious cycle that we're caught up in, and we're all paying for it dearly.
It's really sad that I've come hate this state so much. I love where I grew up and all the great places here, but I loathe the state govt and the scum that run it. The first good opportunity I get outside the cesspool this state has become, I am so outta here and never looking back.

McGreevy, Codey, Corzine...doesn't matter. They all bow to George Norcross, the Democratic Party boss. I think Forrester might've had a better chance if he ran as an independant. Too many people linked him to GW Bush because he ran as a Republican.

based on what tim said:
say you have a 20 grand car, 6% sales tax is $1200 and 7% sales tax is $1400. id say that 1% increase definately sucks.
Delaware FTW!! when i bought my laptop i bought it at a best buy down there since there was no sales tax. but then i ended up selling it for like $800
