ITS DONE!! I have a nasty exhaust leak from the header on the passanger side, so its kinda killing the buzz, but when you focus on the exhaust...oh Magnaflow will be going on every car I ever purchase ever again. Customer for life.
As for the shop, they didnt charge me and when it comes down to it, they really did me a solid by doing it on there free time. Its a small shop and yeah they had it for a while, but it got done and its great work.

cool you got your car back al. sometimes things like that happen when it's not costing you anything. very understanding if their too busy to work on your car if they have a paying customer's car to work on. i know it's aggravating but the price was way right!

didn't they notice your header leak?

yeah they did, they called me to tell me. i looked at he header, and the flange is a little bowed out, so maybe in a bit ill go out there and tighten her down, and take her out for a noiseless cruse.
I have a thing with the gas tank. I was filling up, and it stopped at 11 gallons, but the guage said I only filled half a tank?

according to my 1976, 1971, and 1980 owners manuals the gas tank in second gens is 21 gallons. so that would be about right for 11 gallons.
i have had trouble at several stations recently with pumps that cut off long before the car is full. maybe it is a plot to piss us all off even more everytime we fill up.

Sons of bitches....
I figured that it had something to do with the tank being an older car, that the fumes backed up and caused the pump to shut off.
21 gallons? Damn thats big. Maybe thats late 2nd gens? Im gunna snoop around Nasty and find out, do a little search.
And I gotta get a haynes manual for the car. I have 2 vaccum lines that I dont know wtf where they go to, but they werent uncapped before? One is a line from the carb, to a T fitting that is attached to the PCV valve, and the other side of the T fitting has nothing...and then there is another smaller vaccum line that is just open, no idea what that does. There is also something attached to the bottom of the air cleaner that looks like there needs to be something there.
