And yes, I like to fly up on the right hand lanes and use them as passing lanes. Then tend to be less populated then the left. I never understood that, if you are going the speed limit, wouldnt you just move to the right? Why hog the left lane...ahhhh!

i do most of my traveling in the right lane. you pegged it as less populated, and i rarely have to leave the right lane to pass a slower driver. on roads with more than one lane, like the parkway and turnpike, i pass people in both (or more) lanes left of me. they are ******** idiots and should be removed from the face of the earth. the best part is people who are CLEARLY older and have been driving for MANY years and should know the rules of the road and STILL drive in the left lane.

if i get into a situation where i have to leave the right lane and find myself in the left lane, i am branded an "aggressive driver" by the police because i am traveling too close to the vehicle in front of me and then pass them on the right (eventually) and whip into the left lane in front of them (as soon as i know i can without hitting them) causing them to brake check...

until i get back into the right lane and hit "resume" on the cruise control...

but i try not to let it bother me anymore. i expect them to be on the road and i expect them to be traveling too slow in the left lane, regardless of the myriad signs stating "keep right - pass left" or "keep right except to pass" and my favorite sign on the parkway around mile marker 96 or so that says clearly: SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT. that means you, too, not just the trucks...

the worst is when its a 2 lane highway, and they drive the same exact speed as the person in the right lane, for miles upon miles. normally ill just pass them on the right if theyre by themselves, as loudly as possible...which is pretty loud if the cutout is open. sometimes that makes them get over after i pass them.

i just squeeze between them. if there isnt enough room, they will move far enough to the side to let you pass once they see you trying to get between them
