Wow I'm sorry to see that Melissa. I can only imagine the kind of damage the water will do to the base of the tower, the concession stand, and the track itself (weaken the aggregate underneath?)
I hope you don't incur too much loss.

I would think they'll have to not sell food for a while. Won't they have to tear town the drywall and dry it out and put up new stuff?

our buildings are all cinder block..
we will not open if we cant sell food. and we will not sell food out of a dirty concession stand. the water did nothing but go up last night, only time will tell how long it takes to go down, and then we can assess the damage.
this isnt the first time that we've flooded. this is the worst that i can remember in recent years though. there are a few select high spots in the pits that typically stay dry and have a few inches on them. in the shut down area, the guardrails have all but disappeared. i cant even get in there to get pics cause i dont want to kill my jeep. yesterday i took it in til it was about rocker deep and wouldnt go further, today i wouldnt even do that because the water just got higher. we may put a call out for people to help clean up after the water recedes. right now all we can do is pray for dry weather.

Well supposedly some of the rivers crested Yesterday morning so the water levels should start to drop. The next few days are suppose to be pretty good after todays clouds go away and the temp with creep up near 70 so that should help too.
Good luck with the clean up I'd be more worried about electrical crap then food. Food can be replaced but the wiring would be a pain in the ass I'd think. Either way hope things get fixed for yas.

She works there, I think her father owns it or manages it.
And its officially closed but yeah my friends and I might be able to help clean up and I'm sure other people would too.

She's the Assistant Manager of the track. Her dad is the manager, and he's a member here too (doesn't post much though). His name is trackdaddy.

that is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen.. and quite the large picture as well.
EDIT: ps, for all those who have been keeping tabs on it, the water has receded, there's a lot of damage done to the pavement and we have pavers coming in tomorrow to fix the spots in the pits that got hit the worst. everything is VERY dirty and dusty, but it doesn't look like there's any type of electrical damage, but we won't be able to tell until we set everything back up to test it out.
