if you guys think a JDM motor in an f body is so wrong... im sure you dont want to hear about my ideas for twin, side by side mounted I4 turbo motors from Lancer Evos.... haha, some of you heave heard me explain it and how it'd work.
...then theres my rear engine AWD 3rd gen concept...
...and my possible TT LS1 conversion project...

the rb26 motor is a very capable piece of engineering i would go for it if you've got the chance. RX7 v8 swaps are so much fun and they rock big time when they are finished.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do i've had experience with the sr20det, rb25det, 2jz and the rb36dett from previous cars and the rb26 and 2jz engines are amazing i wouldn't even hesitate to complete this swap

LOL....should've put my fire suit on with some of those fire retardant gel.
i guess it's kind of a split decision, about 1/2 of you say go for it, the other half thinks I should go spend some time at JDM-anonymous and pray to the shrine of american V8's.
I've done the V8 thing......now i'm just looking for something different....and my particular taste at this moment in time is such.

i think its a pretty interesting idea.
Off topic and back to the LS1 RX7, the LS1 T-56 combo only ways 55lb over the stock RX7 drivetrain. So that pretty much makes it the greatest conversion ever.

why is everyone so hung up on displacement?
its WAY easy to build power with one of those turbo motors, its not like the car is gonna be a slug
