I like both brands equally but yea I dont think GMHTP is as good...Seems like no matter what car they run its always some extremely fast time(which dates back to the LT1 firechicken)...Ive been skeptical about the validity of that mag. since my 1st LT1 car years ago...Plus it was flooded w/ Hypertech adds claiming some rediculous power gains that were supposedly dyno proven, and write after write up about how it was true . Believe it or not I don't get anything GM Related anymore. I used to subscribe to Pontiac High Performance, when they ran a good 6 issue 3rd gen article. But then it just turned into a magazine for very rare & expensive cars. I now get Luxury Imports & Exotics.
