I'm still a fan of picking 3-5 whether a group picks them or you pick them it doesnt really matter then everyone voting on 3-5 seriously if people are voting on 10 pictures there may be 15 votes for one picture tops

I agree that less to chose from would make it better as well (thats why I have urged people to vote to keep it the same). However, I can see where wanting to pick from several has its appeals to people.
It will be decided by the poll.

well why not split it then.... have a group pick out 5-7 pics and then vote on them that way they people who want to vote on all the pictures get more then 3 and the people who want to vote on 3 dont have to vote on 15

Well, the whole group choose idea gets back to complicating things further than I want them to be. As we said earlier we want to keep it as easy as possible.
When it comes down to finding a happy medium between the poll options for this thread, that may be the end result if people choose they want to vote on all the pictures, as since we don't and won't have a hack (at least for a while) we will have to limit the pictures to 10, instead of all of them.

Allright, the poll is closed, and the majority wants to vote for all the pictures publicly. Since we can only have a poll for 10 cars, it will have to be a slight comprimise between the two choices we voted on. I will choose 10 pics to choose from, and then everyone can vote publicly for them.
Once the hack has been done where we can vote on all the pics submitted, thats what we'll do, but until then, I'll be choosing 10 pics for everyone to decide on.

Polls are fixed. The max. number of options is now set at 25...that should be plenty. If you find that you need more, just let me know.

Good work. When does the poll go up and where will the poll be on the home page?

Excellent! That should take care of most of the monthly submissions if not all of them. If there are more than 25, I will select the top 25 to be voted publicly on by everyone.

The poll will go up after the month is over. The poll will be at the top of the thread, which will probably be called something like "Vote here for Decembers "Pic of the Month"" located in the multimedia forum.

It will probably be at least another month or so before this becomes an official "Car of the Month" thing for the club. Once we get everything in place, there will be a section on the home page dedicated to the Car of the Month. For now Ben is doing a good job running it the way he is though.

Once this becomes offical it will get more people outside to take pics of their ride so they can enter in.
