well then you are gettng the shaft the website lays out their plans, basic is 19.99, performance is 42.99, and blast is 52.95.
Ah, it's because you aren't a comcast subscriber since you went with the fios for TV. yet you are using their internet. It costs a lot less if you combine your services. SO I'd either pick comcast for everything or pick verizon fios for everything. I'm sure your getting banged on the verizon side too for just TV.

zero problems with comcast. and i'm using it for free since my step-son foots the bill. i had to setup my own wireless to his cable modem, but that was easy and i did it for less than $50. i'm not on a super fast connection, but i regularly max out at 48 Mbps uploading and downloading. dunno how that rates with your experiences.

Optimum is by far the cheapest.
My dad works for them, so tv, internet and phone are free we just pay $10/month for each of the 3 boxes

I had Comcast for almost 3 years at my old apartment and was nothing but happy with them. IIRC I only lost service once and that was due to a nasty storm. I have OOL in my new apartment and they screwed me at first but now that it is all settled they're fine as well. My UL speeds own everyone that I know and the DL speeds are more than tolerable.
When the Wife and I finally buy a house we will be looking into FiOS. I despise Verizon's DSL but hear nice things about FiOS. Anyone with FiOS care to post a speed test result?

No, I have FiOS for internet and phone, and Comcast for TV (wife hates FiOS TV for some reason).
Even at $52.95 for Comcast Blast Verizon is cheaper ($45.99 / month) and faster (20/5).

I lowered my Comcast TV to the Antenna service lol. About to just drop cable tv altogether. Never watch it, so why pay...plus they want a fortune for digital.

Population density too little I guess.
My parents live 20 minutes away from me in Hunterdon and they can't get it, and probably won't get it for a very long time. Not cost effective.

Don't know, maybe. Every time I spoke to the Fois people at the mall (Rockaway) I always leave more confused. Property wise we live in Andover Borough, address wise we live in Newton because we (Andover Borough) do not have our own post office. The kicker, at least for me, is that Andover Township has Fios, but because we are not a township but rather a borough, and "technically" live in Newton we do not get it. And population wise, Andover township has less than 1000 people while Newton has almost 10000 people, so who knows - I guess we will just have to wait longer.
