The car has no definition to it, no curves. It's blah. Don't mind the tail lights though, and I might be alone on that

That's just a rendering with some speculation about a 400hp monster motor....I read the same stuff.

We had a 6 speed in 93 among other advancements and have improved progressively since the fourth gen came out. Even without an fbody platform GM was still progressing to what we will have in March.
The Ford guys have no real progression except a flash in the pan with a slightly altered bodyline. The same sheep are going to buy this car when their lease or jollies run out on their current pony. Take the horsy off the grill and give it some regular looking wheels and it can be passed off as an econo-cruiser easily.
The camaro and firebird even in their most basic form have looked unique going down the road. Thats what ultimately did them in in 2002. It drifted too far away that only enthusiasts had one not the sheep. The 4th gen was good for us and bad for their marketshare. Now their changing the mentality by giving us a great car for the money to appeal to everyone-but its a little late.
Things will be interesting over the next few years relating to these two cars.

Why not, how many Mustang GT kills did Little G have before he even got into any serious modding?

Still isn't as bad as the Challenger. I saw a white Challenger the other day and for some reason I felt a strong desire to strap on a peg leg and throw ****ing harpoons at it.

GT vs SS,
Contrary to every Ford fanboi's chatter, the new Mustang did NOT lose anyweight, and in fact the GT put on 45lbs. Not a whole bunch, no, but reports were that this Mustang was supposed to lose 50-100lbs.
Oh well. GT is still lighter then the SS by about 300-400 lbs.
GT is about 3600, SS at about 3900.
Where does 300 come from?
IRS, stronger chassis, 14/14.4 inch rotors and 4 pistion calipers on all 4 corners, larger trans, and throw a few lbs in there for awesomeness.

Granted I have not seen each in person, but I think the Camaro is a better looking car overall. Yet, I've shown some of the pics to people who aren't fanboys of either car and so far they've all liked the Mustang better. Guess we'll see when they both come to market...if that happens.
