I dont understand the fascination with racing on the streets, and never having the balls to go to the track. I understand that you wont find out what time the car can run, so you can say whatever, adn noone will really know until a car that does know its time runs it and beats it. Does racing ont eh street really make you that much more of a badass, or does it make you feel your balls grew a size bigger cause your doing it while endangering the welfare of bystanders, and innocent people..... Unfortunately we live in a time of auto enthusiests who have given street racing a bad name, and cars in general, a complete class of cars, ones that are imported. They are the ones who had their imaginations sparked when they saw Vin Diesel and those other schmucks racing around in a movie.....which that is exactly the problem....its a movie, the drivers are professional stunt drivers on closed courses, and are driving by a skript.....And I guess talking like a guido douche gangsta makes you 10 times cooler then Vin too..... I see the future our hobby is in danger because of these kinds of people.

Which is exactly why I don't race on the roads anymore. God forbid one of us loses control and hits someone, we're both screwed. That and since he and I aren't exactly friends anymore, I don't want him trying anything stupid like intentionally taking me out.

If you know who put him in contact with you, it will be easy to figure out. People that dumb tend to seek the support of others in the same mental situation. I am gonna say he has either a WRX/STi or an Evo. That seems to be the primary crowd willing to step up to anything American Muscle currently.

so true. but like you said Tim, the biggest hinder to a cars performance is the Driver, if your good, you have a good chance, if your a richy rich boy where your mom and dad bought you a car such as that without any real talent or knowledge of such a car, your nothing more then a wanna be.

actually ive seen a decline in street racing in recent years. philly used to be off the hook with it and i remember as a child my uncle bringing us down there in his box chevelle.....then fast n furious came out and every joke with a celica, integra, honda or geo metro felt the need to toss a fart can on their cars and go racing around...plowing into people
street racing has got a bad rap in the past 10 years. street racing has been around since the chicken races of the 50s. rice kids ruined it

actually back when we were still friends in high school he was into domestics. I remember he had a v6 third gen when I got my first car. Right now I think he has a low rider show car. Doubt he'd be racin me in that, lol.
