Being 17 also, I'd love to have a bike too, but you can kill yourself way too easy imo. If i lived out in the midwest or something where there wasn't a lot of people I'd buy one, but there's just too many crazy drivers around here. Good luck, btw, how much is insurance costing you on that thing?

You guys seem to forget there are a lot of other dangerous variables involved in riding motorcycles. Cold tires combined with things like gravel, wet roads, animals & lack of skill are just as dangerous as other drivers.

I'm going to call here. You claimed to have purchased the bike on 12-16-2008 on a Facebook status update, posted on UBG's forum stating you had it, then you didn't and now you just received the tittle? Hell the instant I got to the dealership before I even thought of buying the bike I was taking a picture on my cell phone. Yet you still have the same two pictures from the dealership. I want to see it in your driveway with your firebird with your helmet, jacket & gloves on the seat.

And how you got away with such low insurance for ONLY HAVING YOUR PERMIT is beyond me. Somethings fishy. I payed $500 a year for my 2008 with Liability only for the first few months I had the bike with my Permit.

Do you even know what what +2 sprockets in the rear will do to a bike without changing the fronts?

Best of luck to you with it and I hope you ride safely.

If you do decide to do something reckless and showboaty with the bike, please make sure to hit something fast and hard. My brother's company makes trauma plates and implants that are used to patch people together after motorcycle accidents and he has to put 2 kids through college in a few years.

It was at the dealership on consignment so they didn't have the title and their lawyer had to get it or so that's what I was told.

Soooooo, I gotta ask who is actually listed as owning the bike then.

My insurance is low, but that is because my bike is almost as old and decrepit as me. BTW, liability only for a new rider? You should rethink that one at least until you get some experience.

good plan, cheap liability and use mommy's health insurance to fix you.........what about the part where you get sued because the bike insurance dosent cover the property/injuries of whatever you hit?

btw, if i had liability when my bike walked off in the middle of the night, i would have been pretty upset about losing my hard earned money

to bad i guess you should have gotten lojack, that's what i'm getting.

I honestly don't care if you guys believe me or not about the insurance or anything else. Its the quote I got, I also got a quote for 420 through rider.

http://www.sporthonda.net/new_vehicl...13&pov=1091146

that's where i got it, that was the ad, and no I didn't pay that price, I got it a lot cheaper. Have any other things you want to call me out on?

LoJack only locates whatever part it is stuck to, unless they find it and then it will locate a dumpster. It also does nothing to rebuild or repair any damage resulting from theft or accident.

I am seriously urging you to get full coverage until you have at least a year of actual road riding experience.

When I had my permit NO insurance company at all would insure my bike (02 gsxr 750). They all said I had to have my license and the lowest price I could find was with rider for double what wayfast is paying.

Now you are into the amount of liability coverage. I bet 1/2 the guys on this site don't have enough liability coverage on their car to cover hitting a new Z06, given last I looked state minimums were 15/30. BTW living at home and being a minor puts his Mom on the hook for what liability does not cover. Same for if he hits someone with the car.
