you missed the sinkhole on the NJTPK last week. I drove over it about 30 mins before it got real bad. I just remember seeing a large pothole and thinking that wasn't there yesterday. lol

Haven't seen many ball joints fail, tie rod ends are common failures, the 5 spd autos are good but leak from the electrical connectors (mercedes transmission, it has always been a problem since they started using it way back when), 5.7 hemi motors don't really have issues. the rear diffs like to leak from pinion and axle seals. Look for frame damage on the engine cradle in the front underbody. People like to slam in to parking blocks. other than that they have a nice ride, I work on these cars almost everyday at the dealer and I would drive one.
Seen all of those issues as they are the current "company car" for the last four years. Also saw one instance where a rear axle shaft snapped during a K turn. Of course, these cars are run 16 to 24 hours a day, often under extreme conditions. A coworker has an SRT8 that he's loved and adored for the last four years. It's a toy, so it's seldom driven and well maintained and in excellent condition. I think if they're properly maintained and not beat on, it's a good, solid car.

That is one thing about dodges. If they are maintained they will last a while. If the owner neglects to do maintenance then they fall apart and then get bad reps for it.

My buddy's fiance just totalled their 07(i think) daytona edition green R/T a few weeks ago. The car took a beating bouncing off 2 cars, smacking a pole and rolling on it's side. She came out of it without a scratch. They definitely want to get another one.
