We have Fiero Commeraderie, wave, thumbs up and all that. When I wave at 3rd gen Fbodies they get a very confused look like "Hey.... that wasn't a firebird." So i just stick to my own kind. So far i've only caught the notchback folk. Only one other GT around and he waves to us all the time. Nothing new there.

like jeff, i get waves from all kinds when i'm behind the wheel of the '69. most third and fourth gens do not wave, but i surmise that's because they are too young to know what's going on. lots of them are women, too, and probably don't want some old fogey in an old car waving at them.

basically, if the car was built before 1975, i wave - there are tons of antique and muscle cars in the area. otherwise i wait to see if the other person waves first. that lets me know if they are an enthusiast or just some schmoe out on the streets.

I actually get waves from Mustangs more often than f-bodies. I think they're trying to recruit me or they fear I'll swirve at them.

lol, I get the same thing when I'm out in Ohio.
As for the waves...
I don't wave, I either nod or raise 4 fingers off the steering wheel. If it's a nice car I'll do a nod AND the 4 fingers.
I also give corvette owners a little trouble to get them to floor it .
My best friend in high school had a new wrangler sierra.... damn those jeep owners and there brother(sister)hood. Always waving. It did help get the girls.... maybe I'll wave to the girls with nice rides.... our I could wink .
Oh, and I never even give ricers eye contact. That never goes well. If they rev, I give it half throttle to show them who's boss, then let them do a fly by. What's even more fun is letting them leave first, then getting a car length on them and backing off real quick. That always erks em.
Fox bodies I can't figure out. I never know if I should work with him and find a ricer to embarrass or to give him an evil glair as to say, "you're an ******* in a big escort."

I was actually paying attention the other day on my way to school, and waved to a Beautifull Hopped Up (on steroids) 2nd Gen Z28 Camaro, and it was an older dude, and he waved back!

Haha ironically, the day I started this thread, apparently j0n saw me on a local road near both of us... beautiful day, we both had the convertible top down, and I didn't see him. He called me up and bitched me out for not waving to him lol.
