have you read any of my posts? the clutch pedal was sticking to the floor after second gear.

plus that was the first time i ever went to the track. still beat the 00 gt next to me though

edit: also, your buddy's ls1 is most likely an 01 or 02. mine is a 98. 01/02 ls1's consistently dyno around 310 - 315 rwhp bone stock, while 98's dyno around 280-290. and yea, i had bald 245's on the back. that's why i said new clutch and tires.

as far as this race is concerned though I would have to think jon would win...hes run damn good times for a pretty much stock ta with a ton of miles and not to mention a vert...pat has yet to put up a decent time and i dont think hes going to only because i dont see him being that great of a driver at the track(no offense pat).

I'd have to agree with the fried clutch thing. That's the worst feeling... almost like having a super loose slipping automatic 2-3 shift, 40psi in the stock sized all seasons, AND 20 degrees of knock retard in all of 3rd gear. (still 13's) Just pulling your chain.
I drove a friend Mustang LX bone stock and couldn't get it into the low 14's, 14.5 every time because the clutch would slip really bad and he had the clutch adjusted so that it grabbed when you're knee was in your face . It was frustrating to say the least. Kind of makes you feel like you're driving an import with an automatic.

yea my 14.2 was my 3rd run ever in the car on bald street tires(245/50/16) and a k&n fipk in 90* weather...also the car weighed in at 3700 lbs

and sorry pat but you dont practice with that car...every time im at a stoplight im rippin holeshots...granted im going to need a new clutch soon myself as well as tires but the fact is that i regularly launch this thing...btw what was your short time anyway?

not sure, i try not to look at the timeslip, but i think it was 2.2 or so. pretty bad, but not that bad considering it was my first track launch ever with a real weak burnout

Eh....my Lumina cuts 2.4 60's with the stock (178k mile) 140hp v6. All season tires, wrong wheel drive, and 3400 lbs. :P

Just messing with you Pat, but if you want to beat Jon, I think you're gonna have to bring your A-Game (but no **** pump) (anyone guess what movie?)
