609 used to be,or still is the are code for the Pine Barrens area. Now, I have always looked at New Jersey as just a small verson of teh US.
The north east has major cities
central is a lot of farm land
and the south....well..its the South. So when I think of the Pine Barrens, I think of the South. Guys in pick ups, shot guns, and a lot of stuff from Deliverance.
So thats what I think, and thats what I belive they are talking about.....

I like the circle one too. It's instinct to hit the gas when entering unless of course there is someone with out of state tags in front of you. Then you usually have to drive around them because they freeze up and stop. You roll your eyes when you here them called a rotory and you can't help it.

Being from Jersey you know what a good tomatoe is and can smell them when they're within 100'.

Also, you have no sympathy for the Pa. driver whining about shore traffic and offer no hints at the smooth going back roads, which are more fun to drive anyway.

1> False. WaWa is not a convinience store. Its a way of life, and one I could get used to. When I went down to the shore for a week, I was at the WaWa more than not. When I came back, I had WaWa WithdrawlWithdrawl.
MOM: But we have 7-11. Isnt that good enough?
ME: No! 7-11 doesnt have their own gas station!
2> Circles are fun.
3> 609 People need some chlorine in their gene pool.
4> Devils/Rangers by me.
5> Correction. I live within 10 minutes of 3 1/2 malls.
6> No I don't!
7> How?! Its so EASY! Take 4 west to 208 to 287. If you get on 17 or see the GWB, you did it wrong.
8> Of course. We need to! There needs to be a way to tell the difference between the Intelligent, well mannered sophistication of the North, and the red-neckin', "Shoot it if it moves," pickup truckin', "drive on whichever side of the road is open" South! Otherwise, all hell will break loose! 8)
9> Wrong. December.
10> Yea. LBI is the Mecca of old people in the summer. In the winter, its LITTERALLY dead. I talked to an LBI cop a few summers back. He told me that durring the winter they set an unofficial record by going i think he said 25 or soemthing days without ANY radio contact! ANY!!

Im in. Maybe they'll remember me. I'm the idiot who locked the keys in his old firebird, and in trying (unsuccessfully) to get them out, we broke the door handle. for probably almost a year, I had to go to the passenger side of the car, reach across to open the door, and then get in the drivers side. Good times, good times.
