He probably meant "easy going" but was definately funny!

What gets me is all you young guys keep complaining about not finding a girl, when all you want to do is wrench on the car....

Uh, duh?

Get out from under the damn car, figure out what your priorities are, then decide whether you'll spend more time being social (outside of the car clubs / guys hanging out) or whether you don't want all the challenges that go along with dating. You -can- have it both ways, but its rare. You're better of realizing now that your hobby will (or at least should) take a back seat to any relationship you have.

Yeah, or someday she might be driving off in the car you were working on, with it loaded down with half of your stuff.

But don't put it too far back. You should never give up who you are, and you should never ask someone else to give up who they are. There is definite give & take.

That's true. And make sure she understands that -before- you get married.

Watched a good movie over the weekend with my gf. She had passed out within the first 5 mins, so I kinda just sat there and watched it. It was about a handful of couples one London afternoon, and they each had thier own problems. The one guy meets with his gf, and says "do you know why I like you? Its cause you dont try to change me."
I looked at my gf, and realized what every other girl I have ever dated has tried to do. Not that Im a bad guy or do bad things, but they try to mold you into something they want, when they fell for you for being the person you are. Ill never understand that whole thing with women.
